ATLANTA - Former boxing champ Adrien Broner was arrested in Buckhead Monday after a woman said he sexually assaulted her.
According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers were called to the 3300 block of Peachtree Road, Lenox Square, in response to a reported sexual battery. Responding officers said a woman told them she had been "inappropriately groped" by a man, identified as Broner.
Broner denied the accusations, according to police; however, investigators believed there was enough evidence to charge him with misdemeanor sexual battery. He was arrested without incident and taken to the Fulton County Jail.
It's unclear if Broner has an attorney.
Last year, Broner was stopped in a bullet-riddled car, then arrested on an outstanding warrant in Kentucky. He told police there that he didn't know who fired at his vehicle.
