ATLANTA - Local Atlanta students had the chance to play one-on-one with Atlanta Hawk Tauren Prince at a back-to-school basketball camp Saturday.
The back-to-school event took place at South Atlanta High School.
Students were given basketball lessons, food, and more.
Prince says the family event helps students stay motivated for the new school year.
"It's basically to give back to the kids, give them a vision going back to school, give them wise words to take," Prince said.
The Hawks basketball player says he wanted to give children an experience he never had growing up.
"It's something to keep the kids going, spirits up, when they're going back," he said.
