Falcons Freeman, Jones named to Pro Bowl

- Despite their team's disappointing season, 2 members of the Atlanta Falcons have picked up a big honor.

The NFL announced Tuesday that RB Devonta Freeman and WR Julio Jones have been selected for the 2016 Pro Bowl.

The selection is a first for Freeman.

The second-year running back has rushed for 907 yards and a league leading 10 rushing touchdowns.

The Florida State product becomes the first Falcons running back selected to the Pro Bowl since Michael Turner in 2010.

Jones is having his best season with the Falcons.

Through 14 games, the fifth-year Alabama product has 118 receptions that ranks 1st in the NFL and 2nd in receiving yards with 1.544.

Jones also ranks 1st in targets and 1st down receptions.

Last Sunday against Jacksonville, Jones broke WR Roddy White's record to become the franchise leader for receptions in a single season.
