Georgia's Special Olympics Summer Games Opening Ceremony

- Do you hear the beat of the Olympic drum? They're coming from Emory University this weekend as the Summer Games begin.

Friday, FOX 5's Ken Rodriguez had the honor to open the Georgia games. 

 

KRod got the chance to speak with one of the 1,900 atheletes attending the games this weekend during FOX 5 News at 6 on Friday.

The festivities were forced to move in doors due to the rainy weather.

 

But that didn't stop the fun the more the 1,900 athletes, 600 coaches and their families.

 

Aquatics, Athletics, Soccer, Long Distance Running and Walking, Flag Football, Volleyball, Tennis, Gymnastics, and Table Tennis are all on the schedule for the annual games.

 

KRod seemed to have so much fun, it was arresting.
