Students protest for beloved media specialist
A well-loved Decatur High School media clerk has been reinstated to her job.
The superintendent would not release details on why he fired Susan Riley last Friday, but students protested the move. For nearly two decades, Riley had been a media specialist who is loyal to the school and students.
They held a rally at the school to show officials they were wrong.
The Decatur Schools superintendent said new information surfaced so he decided to put her on paid leave while a third-party investigates.
