ALPHARETTA, Ga. - A vigil was held Wednesday evening for a woman killed in a bizarre accident on GA-400 last week.
Julianna Shedrawy, 49, of Alpharetta, was driving on the busy highway during early morning rush hour when her black Nissan Infiniti was struck by flying debris. A tire had flown over the median wall, hitting her vehicle in the southbound lanes, authorities said. Shedrawy was pronounced dead at the scene
Police said mechanical failure is to blame for the wheel that came off a truck. No one was charged in the incident.
Wednesday, family, friends, and supporters gathered outside her home. Many in attendance remember Shedrawy as a special person who never met a stranger.
