VIDEO: Man breaks in, crawls through restaurant

Some bizarre behavior seen on surveillance video released by the Conyers Police Department may lead someone to give police the tip they need to put a would-be burglar behind bars.

It happened around 4 a.m. Monday at the Subway restaurant located at Sigman Road in Conyers. Cameras were recording when police said a man broke the front window of the restaurant and then proceeded to literally worm his way to back to the establishment’s safe.

But police said he crawled all that way for nothing. After attempting to break into the safe and failing, the man ran off empty-handed.

Police are now offering a $2,000 reward for information in the case. Anyone who has information should contact Crime Stoppers.
