DeKalb County Police said a woman seen on video picked up and walked off with a family's dog named Lola.

"I was devastated. How can somebody just do that?" Lola's owner Susan Miller said.

Lola the Malitpoo, a year-and-a-half years old, has been missing since July 29 from the family home in the Providence Point subdivision off Pleasant Hill and Union Grove Road.

Police said around 10 a.m., as the dog roamed to a neighbor's home across the street, a woman can be seen walking up to the dog and surveillance and walking off. Police were not sure if the woman came out of a vehicle driving through the area or was walking through the neighborhood.

"She looked around to make sure no one was looking at her, and she took [Lola]. You don't expect anyone to rip that from you at all," Miller said.

The family has distributed fliers around the neighborhood, shared the surveillance and Lola's photos on social media, and also reached out to FOX 5 in the hopes someone can return or locate Lola.

Anyone with information is asked to call DeKalb County Police.
