A DeKalb County jury Friday convicted two drivers responsible for the deaths of three children following a high-speed chase.

The jury found 45-year old James Benford and 30-year old Melanie Putnam guilty in the deaths of 3-year-old Lauren Coleman and her brothers 4-year-old Jordan and 6-year-old Jaylen.

The fatal accident happened in April 2015.

The victims' mother was driving her children home when she was hit by Putnam's vehicle at the intersection of Moreland Avenue and Constitution Road.
