Tucker neighbors fed up with burglaries

Neighbors in one DeKalb County community have had it with break-ins.

"Within 30 seconds these guys were in and out of the house with the TV and just some valuables from the master bedroom," said Tomas Holgado, whose parents were the latest victims.

According to a police report, two men kicked in the carport door of the home off Henderson Road.  They got away with the TV and thousands of dollars worth of jewelry, some of which had sentimental value.  Surveillance video shows the two were in and out in less than a minute.

"I think they knew that you know, the 30-second chime was going off--to when you open your door, you have 30 seconds to put your code in--they were gone before the actual siren was going off," said Holgado.

To make matters worse, neighbors said this is just the latest in a string of similar crimes recently.

"Because it's been so repetitive, people are starting to feel fed up that you know, after four or five times, something has to be done," Holgado said.

Anyone who recognizes the two suspects should call DeKalb County police.
