Tornado Caught on Camera

FRIENDSWOOD, Tx. - Security camera video shows the effects of a tornado that ripped through a suburb of Houston, Texas on Saturday.  The twister caused minor damage to about 30 homes in the town of Friendswood. The storm tore the roof off of one house there.

Homeowner David McCollough and his wife were out of town when the storm hit. He said, "I feel like it's a blessing that we weren't here... Had we been here, it could have been very bad."

The tornado was part of a storm system that caused significant damage across Texas over the weekend. Five people were killed by severe weather across the state. The Houston area was hit by eight inches of rain. That led to street flooding. Firefighters were involved in more than 100 water rescues as a result of the storm.
