Three arrests made in Hall County home invasion, armed robbery

Three people have been arrested in connection with a home invasion and armed robbery investigation in Lula, Georgia.

On January 22, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Christopher Ward, 30, of Atlanta, and James Kelley, 38, of Virginia, broke into a home on Chattahoochee Street, armed with handguns.

There were three people inside the home at the time of the invasion. Ward and Kelley allegedly pointed their guns at the three victims. Investigators said one of the victims was then struck in the head with a gun.

The two suspects are accused of stealing about $100,000 from a safe inside the home.

Investigators said ahead of the robbery, Amanda Tyson, 33, and James Tyson, 36, conspired and plotted with Ward and Kelley to rob the victims. According to the sheriff’s office, Amanda Tyson is “acquainted” with the victims in the case.

On August 8, the Tysons were arrested without incident and charged with conspiracy to commit home invasion and conspiracy to commit armed robbery. They are both being held at the Hall County Jail.

On August 10, Ward was arrested and charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, kidnapping, and home invasion. He’s also being held at the Hall County Jail without bond.

Investigators are searching for James Kelley. He’s wanted for home invasion, armed robbery, kidnapping, and aggravated assault. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
