Three arrests made in Conyers jewelry store armed robbery

- Three people have been arrested in connection with a shooting involving Conyers Police after an armed robbery at a jewelry store.

On Sept. 19, Conyers Police officers responded to reports of an attempted robbery at the Kay Jewelers off Highway 287. An officer said he arrived to find an armed suspect and a female employee struggling in the back of the store.

The suspect was reportedly joined by an accomplice as he ran out the door toward a wooded area.

Officials said that is when the suspects fired shots at officers and escaped.

No one was injured in the incident.

On Thursday, police said they had solved the case and taken three suspects into custody. The suspects have been identified as Vondrakes Green, Anthony McNear and Anna De La Cruz.

Officials say De La Cruz was waiting in a car near the store and helped in the getaway.
