Could police have gotten their first break in a reign of terror including a murder, homes being shot up, and a firebomb in one South Fulton neighborhood?

Police said they have arrested three people responsible for violent crimes in the Pointer Ridge community.

It is a community that has been under siege for the last couple of weeks.

There have been drive-by shootings including one where a 12-year-old girl was injured. There’s also been a firebombing and a murder.

Police said although the suspects aren't charged in any of those crimes they are accused of gun and drug crimes.

Residents said their arrests are a good start, but more is needed.

"It makes me feel much better, but there's much more, many more. It's huge," longtime resident and disabled veteran James Huling said. "There is a serious gang problem here."

Police said two of the suspects, Bernard Christmas and Dejhawnn Norrington both lived in a house where one of last week's shooting took place on Cedar Hurst Trail.

Investigators found 130 shell casings on the scene.

They also said suspect Lamonte Wells visited the same house just before his arrest.
