Thanksgiving air travel to be the busiest ever

ATLANTA - Heads up, holiday travelers.

This year, the TSA projects Thanksgiving will be the busiest holiday for air travel ever.

And as the city that calls the world's busiest airport home, we'll be feeling the pain Thanksgiving weekend.

The rush will start the Friday before Thanksgiving.

Experts estimate the most congested travel day will be the Sunday after the holiday when everyone's heading home.

The TSA expects to screen 2.6 million people per day leading up to Thanksgiving.
