It was a shocking discovery out of Gwinnett County where police said a 16-year-old girl's car was stolen with all of her personal belongings including an urn containing the ashes of her deceased father.

"It broke my heart completely," Ariana Kimbrough said.

Ariana Kimbrough lost her father, Shannon, unexpectedly in November.

"My dad killed himself," Kimbrough told FOX 5. "He was my best friend."

Kimrough said Thursday it felt like she lost him all over again. It was the first time she was able to access the trunk of her car after it had been stolen weeks earlier. She had hoped her father's urn would be inside.

"I was thinking my dad's ashes had to be in there," Kimbraough said. "What kind of sick person would take ashes that don't belong to your family?"

Kimbrough's family was in the process of moving when her car was stolen that's why her father's ashes were in the car.

"I would do anything to get my dad's ashes back," Kimbrough said.

Kimbrough said she hopes someone will turn the urn into authorities.
