Investigators do not believe the shooting death of a Roswell teen early Tuesday morning was a random attack.

Police were called to the Saratoga apartment complex on Saratoga Drive around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. Responding officers found 17-year-old Kobe Williams suffering from a gunshot wound. They tried to administer aid, but the teen didn't survive.

Detectives said Williams lived in the complex. Police wouldn't say where or how many times the victim had been shot.

"We have several individuals that we are looking into regarding this case," said Officer Lisa Holland with the Roswell Police Department. "We further believe that the person or people responsible for the death of Kobe Williams were known to him."

Police don't have a motive yet for the crime.
