Teen hit by car while crossing Atlanta road

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A 14-year-old girl is in critical condition after being hit by a car while crossing Martin Luther King Jr. Drive Saturday night.

Atlanta police told FOX 5 that they were called to the 2900 block of the road near Sheffield Drive around 8:40 p.m.

Medics rushed the girl to Grady Hospital in critical condition.

Police say the girl is not alert or conscious, but they say she is breathing.

The driver in the incident remained on the scene.
