A Locust Grove teen was killed in a 7-car crash Saturday morning in McDonough.

Loved ones are remembering Summer Ann Lee as the type of person who lit up a room, who made friends wherever she went.  Lee's grandfather Edward Hasty said, "Amazing girl, touched the hearts of so many people, beautiful inner spirit, full of spirit."

Henry County police said the 18-year-old was driving on Interstate 75 northbound near Georgia Highway 20 when she was struck by a tractor trailer and her car then pushed into five other vehicles. She was killed in the crash.

Authorities said seven other people were taken to Atlanta Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Daniel Crane, of Jemez Springs, New Mexico, has been identified as the driver of the tractor trailer. He was arrested at the scene and charged with vehicular homicide, following too closely and commercial vehicle hours of service violations. Police said neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to have been a factor in the crash.

Loved ones told FOX 5 Atlanta Lee had many interests, loved photography, dreamed of being a sportscaster and played on her school's softball team.

"She was always the girl who always found the positive in anything.  Our girls were talking today about how it was hard to be negative about anything out on the field cuz she was always so uplifting," said Softball Coach Chris Davis.
