People living in a DeKalb County apartment complex say they are on high alert following a violent home invasion.

Police say a crew of robbers broke into the Lakes at Indian Creek apartments and ambushed people inside.

The robbery happened Monday afternoon at 2:30 when three people knocked on the door of the apartment. When one of the people living in the home opened it the three rushed in and held him and another man at gunpoint.

The victims, a 50-year-old and 39-year-old, were forced into a bathroom while the robbers helped themselves to valuables and then fled.

Now police have arrested one teenager they say was involved in the crime, and they believe this isn't the only burglary he's connected with.

Authorities say they were able to track down 17-year-old Lual Gang Lual, who now faces home invasion, armed robbery, and burglary charges.

Neighbors told FOX 5 that they had heard of other home and car break-ins before, but this latest ordeal has them especially rattled.

Police are advising residents to be especially careful if someone comes to your door at night, and avoid opening the door until you really know who they are.
