SWAT team called in to apprehend armed robbery suspect

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - Police have released the mugshot of an armed robbery and aggravated assault suspect who was arrested in unincorporated Decatur Sunday afternoon. 

According to DeKalb County Police, Joshua Foster, 19, was wanted in connection with an armed robbery in Shoal Creek Park Friday and three similar crimes in Gwinnett County.

Gwinnett Police located Foster at a home on Emerald Lake Drive and called in DeKalb County Police SWAT for assistance.

Police said Foster ran when officers first arrived, but they quickly arrested him. Officers recovered what appeared to be two guns and other items from the home. 

Foster is currently in the DeKalb County Jail charged with one count of armed robbery and three counts of aggravated assault.
