Atlanta Police are searching for two suspects shown on surveillance video robbing a gas station at gun point.

The incident happened at the location on Metropolitan Parkway on August 8.

Police released surveillance video Wednesday showing two males suspects, wearing all black and red bandanas around their faces, holding up the store’s clerk and stealing an unknown amout of cash from two registers.

The clerk told police that he was outside of the enclosure when a male knocked on the gas station’s door. After the clerk opened the door, the two suspects walked in the store, police said.

One of the suspects—described as a short and chubby black male with a dreaded hairstyle and a small tattoo under his left eye—pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded that he open the protective glass door, leading to the cash register.

Once inside, both males stole cash from the registers and fled on foot. Police say they were last seen running southbound through a cut, leading to some apartments on University Avenue.

Police canvassed the area, but were unable to locate the suspects.

According to police, the clerk said the armed suspect is the son of a former employee who worked at the gas station. That person, who was hired by a previous owner, was let go.

The investigation is ongoing.
