- Agnes Kim, the survivor of a car crash that killed four University of Georgia students in April, is speaking for the first time since the wreck. =

The April 27 crash killed Kayla Canado, Britney Feldman, Christina Semeria and Halle Scott. The driver, Agnes Kim, survived, but was critically injured.

Kim, who is being treated at Shepherd Center in Atlanta, posted a public message on on Monday.

"Thank you for praying for me. I am getting better. Thank you, I love you all," she said.

Kim's friends set up the YouCaring page to help raise money for medical expenses and to provide updates as she recovers. They said they received word she was talking on Sunday.

"This is a huge step in her recovery, and her family hopes that she'll be on her feet and out of Shepherd soon. It has been truly humbling to see how many prayers and how much support has been flooding the Kims' way, and we're amazed to see how the Lord has been faithful in hearing our petitions."

Kim's family previously said they appreciate the outpouring of support from both those with UGA ties and the community as a whole, but they are asking for privacy while they concentrate on her recovery.
