It was a back-to-school surprise for a group of students in Kennesaw on Tuesday.

Academy Sports and Outdoors donated $100 shopping sprees to 30 kids from the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Atlanta.

This was part of the store's annual company-wide back to school shopping spree program benefitting youth across the United States.

The kids are invited to spend the money on anything they may need for school.

This isn't the only event of its kind.

This is actually the program's 9th year.

Organizers said it's grown to include over a hundred similar events benefitting over 3,000 children through the Southeast and Midwest.
