Seniors at Johns Creek High Go All-Out with Homecoming Proposal Video

October means homecoming for many metro Atlanta schools and one group of guys at Johns Creek High School went above and beyond to ask their dates to the big dance.

There’s nothing wrong with simply asking a date, “Will you go to homecoming with me?” However, in recent years, the big question has become more of a production.

Trip Meyer, Nick Vangundy and Griffin Goggans are all seniors at JCHS. For their last homecoming dance, they decided to do something both creative and hilarious: a music video.

In an elaborate lip-synched rendition of the famous hit “Build Me Up Buttercup” by the Foundations, the three young men went all out for the ladies they wanted to take to the dance.

In the video, Goggans stars as the lead singer, Vangundy as the piano player and Meyer as the guitar player.

Meyer told FOX 5's Katie Muse they were inspired after watching another group of guys dancing on YouTube.

The video, edited by Meyer, took two weeks to make.

On Monday, once they had the finished product, it was revealed to three lucky ladies.

“They all said yes, of course,” Meyer said. “They really enjoyed it and a lot of people at Johns Creek have been talking about it.”

Meyer asked fellow student Sydney Kiewit. Her mother told us she loved the video and thought it took a lot of time and effort.

Goggans asked Sophie Moranville and Vangundy asked Kelley Crudo. (All six are pictured together above)

They are all looking forward to taking pictures, eating a nice dinner and then heading to the dance this Saturday.

We hope they have a wonderful time!
