St. Thomas More Catholic School honors veterans

DECATUR, Ga. - An area school marked Veterans Day on Monday.

The students of St. Thomas More Catholic School in Decatur welcome veterans and their families for an assembly to honor their service to the country.

Outside, the school lined the front of its campus with small American Flags that students purchased, a poignant symbol of appreciation for the men and women who served.

Photos of student's veteran family members lined a Wall of Honor inside St. Thomas More.

Proceeds from the purchase of the little American Flags go to the Veterans’ Empowerment Organization.
