'Slider' strikes at northwest Atlanta Shell station

- A Northwest Atlanta woman said she felt violated when a robber jumped in her car at the gas station.

The bold attack happened Wednesday evening around 7:50 p.m. at the Shell Gas Station on Howell Mill Road at Beck Street.

The 26-year-old accountant said she locked her car while pumping gas, then the moment she unlocked the car to reentered, a young robber who looked to be 16 to 18 years old with twists jumped in her car, demanded her designer purse and car keys.

"As soon as I hit the unlock button, I started walking around the car and I opened my door. He opened the door as well, reached over and grabbed my purse and he said give me your keys," the victim said.

The 26-year-old woman wrote down the license plate number of the fleeing car. She describes it as a silver and Blue Volkswagen Jett a with Georgia license plate PRM 4589.

The victim also said the Shell station has surveillance video of the robbery.
