Sheriff: Mom attacked boyfriend with sword after finding him molesting daughter
TWIGGS COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Deputies say a Georgia mother attacked her boyfriend with a large sword after she found him molesting her 5-year-old.
According to the Twiggs County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to a home on Strawberry Lane in Macon, Georgia at around midnight on March 14 after reports of an unwanted person on the property.
When they got to the home, a woman told them that she caught her boyfriend molesting a 5-year-old daughter, and that she had cut him a with a sword trying to get him out of her home.
The mother injured the suspect, identified as 25-year-old John Lawarren Williams, on his left hand. By the time deputies got to the scene, Williams had fled.
Williams later turned himself in to the Sheriff's office a few hours later. He has been treated for a cut to his hand and has been transported to the Twiggs Law Enforcement Center for processing, WGXA reported.
Officials charged him with aggravated child molestation and cruelty to children.
