Authorities said a brief pursuit by Georgia State Patrol troopers out of Atlanta ended in a crash in East Point.

It started around 1 p.m. Friday after officers located a stolen vehicle in 1900 block of Allison Court in southwest Atlanta. GSP troopers said an unmarked police unit followed the car before marked GSP units were able to catch up to the vehicle. Troopers said they attempted to stop the car, but it took off.

Troopers said the vehicle eventually struck another car in the 3000 block of Stone Road in East Point. That’s when trooper said three people ran away from the car.

Authorities said two female passengers were caught, but a third was at-large as of late Friday afternoon.

Troopers are investigating an injury to a pedestrian. At this time, investigators are not sure how a pedestrian received leg injuries or how it was connected to the pursuit. The pedestrian is said to be in stable condition.

Several people in the vehicle the stolen car struck were transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.

GSP said the driver remains at large. Charges are pending on the two passengers.
