Search for Georgia's top youth volunteers of 2017 underway

Prudential wants to honor Georgia students in grades 5-12 who have volunteered in their communities within the past 12 months.

As part of the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards, the honorees will receive $1,000, engraved silver medallions and all-expense-paid trips to Washington, D.C. for the annual recognition events on May 6-9, 2017. Distinguished finalists at the state level will receive bronze medallions, and runners-up will receive certificates of excellence.

Interested students would need to apply online or in-person before the November 8 deadline. The awards are presented on the local, state and national levels.

Students in Duluth and Union City were recognized last year for their outstanding volunteer service.
