It happened near the intersection of Chapel Hill and Central Church roads Monday afternoon. SKYFOX 5 flew over the scene around 4:30 p.m. to find a portion of a car under a school bus.

A spokesperson for Douglas County Schools said two buses and a car were involved in the crash. Investigators believe the car ran a red light, hit one bus, and bounced off it, becoming lodged under the second bus.

The driver of the car died at the scene. Her name has not yet been released.

Both buses were carrying students from Chapel Hill Middle School. One student was injured, but school officials said they are expected to be okay.

Traffic in the area was blocked while crews worked the scene.

This is the second accident involving a Douglas County school bus this month.

Two weeks ago, a truck hit another bus, setting both vehicles on fire.

None of the students were hurt in that case.
