SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. - City officials in Sandy Springs announce they have revised the city's controversial False Alarm Ordinance.
The changes come following feedback from alarm companies.
Under the new legislation, the fine for a second false alarm is now $150 instead of $250. But $250 is now the fine for a third false alarm.
In addition, the revision lengthens the time an alarm company has to appeal fines from 10 days to 30 days.
