Marietta Police have new video of a man they say robbed a Loomis armored employee delivering money at a QuikTrip in Marietta.

The robbery took place just after noon at the QT on the 600 block of Powder Springs Street.

Police say in the video, you can see the armored car driver walk up to the door of the QT, just as he is about to open the door, a man darts out from around the corner, knocks over the driver, grabs the bad of money and sprints away.

Marietta Police Officer Chuck McPhilamy say initially investigators thought the robber was on foot, now believe he may have gotten into a dark colored 4-door car.

Police describe the suspect as being a black male about 5”9’ tall, weighing about 155 pounds, with a full beard and long dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a dark green T-shirt and khaki shorts. Loomis Armored is offering a cash reward up to $10,000 for information leading to the apprehension and prosecution of the suspect.

Police are asking anyone who may have information or who has surveillance video from their home or business in the area, to please call Detective Michael Selleck at 770-794-5372.
