The reward has been increased for information regarding a robbery of a Dalton family at gunpoint

Police are offering a $3,000 reward which would lead to the arrest of four armed robbers who followed the family home from a shopping trip to Phipps Plaza in Buckhead back in May of last year and then held up the family at their Windemere subdivision in Dalton.

Police said the robbing crew of at least four ambushed the family outside their home with two gunman holding up the mother and flashing a weapon at the father holding a 10-month-old baby as they put away their shopping bags.

Surveillance video provided by the family shows the frightening ordeal in the driveway of the home on Chatham Drive.

The thieves made off with a Cartier bracelet, a gold Rolex, a David Yurman ring, a diamond tennis bracelet, and two Louis Vuitton bags.

The homeowner said he tried to go get a weapon to fight off the robbers, but they were too quick, fleeing after less than a minute.

Police said the men got into a white late-model Chevrolet Impala and a silver Nissan Maxima.

The ordeal has terrified the quiet subdivision that sits more than 70 miles outside of Atlanta.

Anyone with information is asked to call Dalton Police Detective John Edwards at 706-278-9085, extension 9152.
