Reward increased in deadly wine bar robbery

The reward has been raised again in the deadly armed robbery at a popular wine bar in Atlanta’s Westside neighborhood.

The violent attack happened at the Barcelona Wine Bar located at 1085 Howell Mill Road around 1:45 a.m. on Nov. 19. Atlanta Police said three violent robbers stormed the establishment, bound employees, and forced 29-year-old Chelsea Beller to open the business safe before police said she was gunned down in cold blood.

Monday, investigators said at least one of the killers may have suffered serious cuts from a razor wire fence after leaving the scene in a carjacked vehicle. They are hoping the blood collected on clothing will lead them to gunmen. Police have asked the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to test the DNA against a nationwide database.

Investigators also believe the unique style of clothing worn by the armed robbers may help them identify the killers.

Police hope someone out there who knows who the suspects are will come forward, if not because of the severity of the crime, then the increasing reward which was raised to $20,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the three armed robbers.
