Man suffers life-threatening injuries, three dogs die in house fire

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - A man is battling life-threatening injuries after a house fire broke out in the 2400 block of Luke Court in unincorporated Buford, according to the Gwinnett County Fire Department.

Officials responded to the fire around 11:30 a.m. and the fire is now out. The injured occupant was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Firefighters found three dogs deceased inside the home. A fourth dog survived and was outside the home; the dog is ok and was reunited with a family member at the scene.

The home sustained heavy damage, and the cause of the fire has not been determined and is under investigation.
