ATLANTA - A heart-breaking story has a happy ending thanks to the Atlanta Humane Society.
Wednesday, the group helped remove dozens of dogs from a home in Murray County.
The owners voluntarily surrendered the animals because they were unable to care for them.
There are about 70 dogs of all kinds of breeds, ages, and conditions.
The Atlanta Humane Society said on Friday that six of the dogs are healthy enough to find homes this weekend, and are now up for adoption. They were taken to the Mansell campus in Roswell.
