Remaining charges against Ross Harris shelved for now

FOX 5 News has learned the charges still pending against the Cobb County father who was convicted of leaving his son in a hot car to die has been placed on a “dead docket.”

Ross Harris still faced charges of sexual exploitation of children and dissemination of harmful materials to minors.

Last year, a judge sentenced Harris to life in prison without the possibility of parole for murdering his 22-month-old son, Cooper, and sexting an underage girl.

Harris has appealed the conviction and according court filings, prosecutors will not move forward with the remaining charges while the appeal is underway.
