Protesters rappelled from the upper deck of the Bank of America stadium Monday night during the Carolina Panthers' home game against the Indianapolis Colts. The protesters revealed a sign that read, "Bank of America Dump Dominion."

Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department said four people have been charged after they climbed onto the overhang of the stadium and revealed the banner. John Nicholson, David Baghdadi,, Angela Vogel and Erica Madrid were charged with trespassing and resisting an officer.

Twenty police officers cleared fans from the section below the protesters. The fire department responded to the scene and had to do a high angle rescue to get the protesters down.

The banner also included a website, which outlined opposition to Bank of America's role in financing a liquefied natural gas export facility by energy company Dominion Resources in Cove Point, Maryland.

Bank of America owns the naming rights to the Panthers' home stadium, which was hosting the national telecast of Monday Night Football when the incident occurred.

The Panthers vs. Colts game continued despite the protest. The protesters dangled by ropes well into the fourth quarter.

It was not immediately clear how the protesters managed to access the stadium with climbing gear and banner.
