A funeral procession patrolled metro Atlanta interstates Thursday to honor a HERO operator killed in the line of duty.

SKYFOX 5 flew over the procession, which began at 11 a.m.

Moses Hall died last week from injuries he received when he was hit by a vehicle while on the job last summer. He had responded to an accident on the Downtown Connector and was putting out flares at the scene when investigators said Lindsay Clark, 25, of Suwanee, hit him in the road.

Thursday's procession began at HERO headquarters on Plasters Avenue. It ended at Murray Brothers Funeral Home and was followed by a funeral at 1 p.m.

HERO workers are Georgia Department of Transportation highway emergency response operators.
