ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A pair of gunmen held up a popular Midtown sushi restaurant.
Just after midnight Wednesday, the two men knocked on the back door of Ra's Sushi, near the corner of Peachtree and 11th Street.
When the workers answered, the robbers produced a handgun and forced their way inside. They stole an undisclosed amount of cash and then ran out the same back door that they entered.
Police say the gunmen disguised their appearance. One wore a wig, and the other had on a baseball cap, sunglasses and a black coat.
There are lots of surveillance cameras in the area, including a couple right outside the restaurant's back door. Police hope the video will help identify the suspects.
Investigators call the crime rare and say it's a matter of luck that none of the workers were hurt or possibly worse. They also hope other businesses learn from what happened and refrain from opening their backdoor to unknown people, especially during closing hours.
