Police: Woman shot in Buckhead lounge parking lot

ATLANTA - Police are searching for a gunman after a woman was shot at Buckhead lounge.

The shooting happened in the parking lot of the Anchor Down Grill & Lounge on Piedmont Road Friday morning at around 5.

Police say the 24-year-old victim was getting into a car when she was shot once in the back.

The victim, whose name has not been released, has been transported to Grady Hospital in stable condition. Police say that she was alert, breathing and talking with officers at the scene.

Investigators say the victim told them she had no idea why anybody would want to shoot her.

Currently, police have not released any information about a possible suspect and say it is early in the investigation.
