A late-night stop to put air in her tires ends with a woman being dragged by a couple of slider thieves getaway vehicle.

Just before midnight on Friday morning, Atlanta Police said the victim pulled into the Shell gas station on Northside Drive near the Interstate 75 entrance ramp. Investigators said when the woman went to use the air compressor a man jumped into the passenger door of her car. He grabbed the woman's purse and ran to a nearby blue metallic Kia Sol.

The woman chased after the slider thief and grabbed onto the rear passenger door handle. That's when police said the thief and his getaway driver dragged the woman 20 to 30 feet before she finally fell off. The blue Kia Sol was last seen heading south on Northside Drive.

The woman suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention. Police said she was very lucky not to have been seriously hurt. They remind drivers to lock their vehicles as soon as they step out of them and never try to grab on to a moving car.
