Police trying to identify man in Gainesville homicide case

Police are trying identify a man in connection with a homicide investigation, according to a Facebook post by the Gainesville Police Department.

Dennis Ronald Gayton was shot and killed on April 4th in the area of MLK Jr. Blvd at Carlton street, and police are continuing the investigation of this incident, according to authorities.

The person police are trying to identify is described as a black male at 5'0 to 5'3 with a medium to stocky build with close cropped hair, according to police.
