Accident takes down traffic lights at busy Smyrna intersection

SMYRNA, Ga. - A traffic light at a bust Smyrna intersection was back up and running Friday evening after being taken down during a crash earlier in the day.

Smyrna Police said the traffic lights at Windy Hill Road and South Cobb Drive came down after a two-vehicle crash. The Georgia Department of Transportation reported one person was transported to the hospital and is expected to recover.

All lanes of traffic were shut down for several hours while the traffic lights were restrung.
