Two people are in custody and one suspect is on the run after reports of shots being fired at an officer Tuesday, according to police.

"I saw 10-15 police right this way down this way," said resident Earnestine Mitchell.

SKYFOX 5 flew over the area of Avon Avenue and Westmont Road just before 1:15 p.m. Tuesday as officers gathered and responded to the scene. Several officers were walking with their guns drawn, searching around a home.

"That's when police told us to get inside right now because they were looking for someone," said resident Jazzmere Kingsberry.

Nearby, in the 1100 block of Graymont Drive, SKYFOX 5 flew over as a suspect was being taken into custody. Police said two others have been taken into custody.

Police continue to search the area for the fourth suspect.

Investigators said it all started when an officer spotted a stolen car out of East Point. At some point, the three people inside the vehicle jumped out on foot, and that's when one of them fired a shot at an officer.

Investigators haven't said whether anyone was injured.
