Police: Stolen car crashes into APD cruiser

ATLANTA - Atlanta Police are investigating an accident after they say a stolen car veered in front of an APD cruiser.

The wreck happened a little before 1 Tuesday afternoon near West Lake Avenue and Thomas Drive.

The hit crumpled the cruiser's front and required it to be towed away.

Police say the driver of the stolen car ran off after the accident and hasn't been caught yet.

The officer complained of elbow and knee pain after the accident, but police say he wasn't seriously hurt.
