Police release surveillance video of carjacking

ATLANTA - Atlanta Police release surveillance of a carjacker stealing a woman's car.

They hope the video will lead to an arrest.

The victim told police she left her jeep running while she went inside a food mart on Moreland Avenue.

The video shows a man come up to the passenger side of the Jeep. He then gets inside, slides over to the driver's side and takes off.

The woman runs after him and manages to get into the car at a nearby intersection.

The carjacker punched her in the face, crashed her jeep, and ran away, according to police.
