Police need help identifying Subway armed robbery suspect

- Woodstock Police investigators asking for help identifying a man who they say robbed a Subway at gunpoint on New Year's Day.

Officials said the robbery happened at around 9:27 the morning of Monday, Jan. 1 after the suspect entered through the back door of the sandwich restaurant on Highway 92.

According to police, the suspect was carrying a semi-automatic firearm and demanded the clerks give him store's money, which they did.

Police say the suspect then left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash on foot.

Authorities have described the suspect as a white male with blue eyes, age in the late 20's to late 30's. He's around 6 feet tall or taller with a skinny build. He was wearing a black Under Armor jacket with the logo above his left breast, dark pants, dark shoes with white soles, a black beanie, and a tan ball cap.

The suspect's weapon is believed to be a full-size semi-automatic handgun between a 9mm to .45 caliber with a stainless steel or nickel slide, and black grips or frame.
