Police: Motorcyclist killed in MARTA bus crash

ATLANTA - Police said a person riding a motorcycle has died after being hit by a MARTA bus in southeast Atlanta.

It happened a little after 4:20 p.m. Thursday near the corner of Midway Street and Jonesboro Road.

The name of the motorcycle operator has not yet been released.

Police said the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

It was not immediately clear how the accident happened.
